# CHLITINA - Dealer Summit at Shanghai Tower -- Kinetic Sphere Array, Fibre-Optic Wall and Holographic Display

> For CHLITINA's 2026 global product launch and dealer summit at Shanghai Tower on 17 June 2026, MLABART delivered three interactive environments -- a kinetic array of gold mirrored spheres above a circular water feature, a fibre-optic waterfall wall visitors reach into, and a curved holographic screen presenting product in mid-air.

## Project facts

- **Brand:** CHLITINA
- **Location:** Shanghai Tower, Shanghai, China
- **Event date:** 17 June 2026
- **Our role:** Mechanical structures, controls, content & on-site build

## Kinetic mirrored sphere array

Gold mirrored spheres rise and fall on individual lines around a cylindrical LED column. Programmed formations give the installation depth and changing rhythm, while the circular water feature below carries the motion into reflection.

## Fibre-optic waterfall wall

Blue streams of light continue from the wall across the floor, drawing visitors through the draped corridor. The touch-responsive wall gives them a reason to pause and reach into the light.

## Holographic product display

A curved transparent screen presents product imagery in mid-air. Alongside the physical motion of the spheres and the waterfall of light, it gives the summit a third distinct visual experience.

## From approved concept to working installation

MLABART delivered the mechanical structures, control and show systems, screen content and on-site build for the three installations. The project brought mechanical motion, responsive light and holographic imagery together for the dealer summit at Shanghai Tower.
### Make the motion physical.

Mechanical structures and individual suspension lines form the moving sphere array.
### Connect control and content.

Control and show systems run alongside the screen content across the three installations.
### Bring it into the room.

The on-site build turns the approved concept into the working environments presented at the summit.

## Scenario

CHLITINA held its 2026 global new-product launch and dealer summit at Shanghai Tower, Lujiazui, Shanghai, on 17 June 2026. Per the brand's own announcement, representatives of close to five thousand stores attended, from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

Two conditions shaped the build. A dealer summit has to do two jobs at once -- present the year's products credibly to a professional audience, and give that audience something worth photographing and carrying back to their own markets. And it runs for a single day: there is no second performance in which to fix anything, and the room has to be finished and stable before the first dealer walks in.

## Interaction

Three environments, each speaking a different interaction language. The kinetic sphere array suspends gold mirrored spheres on individual lines that rise and fall in programmed formation around a cylindrical LED column, with a circular water feature set into the floor doubling the motion in reflection. The fibre-optic waterfall wall is a curtain of blue light streams that continues across the floor, responding as visitors reach into it. The holographic display floats product imagery inside a curved transparent screen. MLABART delivered the mechanical structures, the control and show systems, the screen content and the on-site build.

## Marketing value

For a brand whose product story is science and precision, the question is whether the room can carry that claim without a screen doing all the talking. Three environments, three different interaction languages -- mechanical motion, light and water, product imagery in mid-air -- so dealers leave with content of their own rather than a catalogue.

## Results

Per CHLITINA's own announcement, the summit was attended by representatives of close to five thousand stores from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. That figure is for the event as a whole; it is not a measure of participation at, or attributable to, the installations described here.

## What MLABART delivered

MLABART delivered the three interactive environments described above: the mechanical structures, the control and show systems that drive them, the screen content, and the on-site build.

That is a production-partner engagement. Our work starts where a concept has to stop being a rendering and become something that runs, on schedule, in front of a professional audience that has flown in for one day.

If you already have the concept, this is the shape of engagement that fits: an approved design goes in, a working room comes out.

## Why the spheres are driven individually

A mirrored sphere array can be built two ways. The cheap way hangs every sphere from one moving truss: the whole group rises and falls together, and what the room reads is a single object being flown in and out. The other way gives each sphere its own line and its own drive, so the array can hold a shape -- a wave crossing the group, a slow inversion, a pause with the spheres at different heights.

This one is the second kind. The spheres sit on individual lines around a cylindrical LED column and move in programmed formation, which is why the array reads as precision rather than as scenery.

The circular water feature set into the floor is part of the same decision. A mirrored sphere above still water doubles -- the reflection moves with it, so every metre of travel is seen twice. It costs nothing in motion and buys the array a second full-height composition below the floor line.

## Turning circulation space into a participation point

The fibre-optic waterfall wall sits at the end of a draped corridor, with the light streams continuing across the floor toward the visitor. Corridors are usually dead space -- people walk through them to reach the room that matters.

A touch-responsive light wall at the end of one changes what the corridor is for: the approach becomes part of the experience, and the venue works harder without taking additional floor area from the main room. In venues where floor area is fixed and expensive -- Shanghai Tower among them -- that is often the difference between two photo moments and three.

## Why brands choose this approach

- Not a backdrop -- three separate environments a dealer walks through, each with its own reason to stop and raise a phone.
- The sphere array is mechanical, not screen-based: mirrored spheres moving in formation read as precision and craft, which is the language a skincare brand wants around product science.
- The fibre-optic wall turns a corridor -- normally dead circulation space -- into a participation point, so the venue works harder without additional floor area.
- One team covered mechanical structure, control and show systems, content and on-site build, so the three environments share a single show timeline instead of three subcontractors' schedules.
- A single-day event in an occupied supertall building: everything has to be finished and stable before the first dealer walks in, with no second performance to fix it in.
- Kinetic sculptures and mechanical reveal stages are a long-standing MLABART specialty (Rolex, Ferrari, LANCÔME), so a moving installation of this scale is routine rather than experimental.
