FAQ

How much does an interactive installation cost?

Interactive installations are quoted per project, based on interaction complexity, equipment, on-site scale and timeline — from a single piece to a full immersive experience. Share your scenario and budget range and MLABART will propose a matching concept and quote.

How long does a pop-up interactive project take?

A typical pop-up interactive project runs about 4–8 weeks from confirmation to delivery, covering concept, technical development, fabrication and on-site build; large immersive shows take longer (8–12+ weeks). The earlier you talk to us, the easier scheduling is.

Which brands suit AI-photo interactions?

Beauty, automotive, FMCG and luxury brands that value social sharing — for launches, pop-ups and mall activations. Facial recognition and generative visuals create shareable content and extra touchpoints.

Radar vs. camera interaction — what’s the difference?

Radar interaction senses position and motion via mmWave/LiDAR — light-robust, privacy-friendly, ideal for large spaces and floor interaction. Camera interaction uses vision recognition for faces, gestures and poses — better for precise, close-range content.

Is naked-eye 3D good for mall events?

Yes. Naked-eye 3D screens at mall atriums and entrances create strong visual memory and shareable photos, often used for beauty, automotive and pop-up launches. MLABART has delivered several (e.g. LANCÔME Sanya naked-eye 3D).

Can MLABART do technical execution only?

Yes. MLABART can deliver end-to-end from concept to on-site build, or act as a technical partner to brands and agencies, handling the technical implementation and on-site build of an installation.

Can you deliver nationwide / internationally?

Yes. Headquartered in Shanghai with offices in Singapore, San Francisco and Milan, MLABART has delivered across China and in Singapore, Korea, Dubai, the Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong and Macau.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes, routinely. MLABART often acts as the creative-technology / interactive-tech partner to advertising agencies, event companies and curators, handling concept, technical build and on-site execution.

How far in advance should we talk?

The earlier the better. Concept, technical development and fabrication all need lead time — we recommend 6–8+ weeks for large projects; rush projects can also be assessed.

How do you tell if an installation will spread on social?

Three things: a clear motivation for people to participate, shareable visual output, and strong relevance to the brand message. MLABART designs the interaction around the communication goal from the concept stage.

How is an interactive installation different from décor/build?

Décor is static; an interactive installation lets people participate and triggers feedback (motion, AI, mechanical, visuals), turning “looking” into “playing” — with far higher dwell time and shareability.

What can AIGC / AI interaction do?

AI photo (facial recognition + style transfer + generative visuals), AI-generated content screens, and AI-driven light/installation interaction — ideal for tech-forward brands needing personalized, shareable content.

Are mechanical installations a strength of MLABART?

Yes — they are MLABART’s signature. We’ve built rotating and telescopic screens, kinetic matrices and Newton’s-cradle/transit-pendulum pieces (Siemens, Bvlgari, LANCÔME and more).

Which brands has MLABART worked with?

CHAUMET, Bvlgari, Cartier, CHANEL, LANCÔME, NARS, L’Oréal, NISSAN, Porsche, Land Rover, Tencent, Alibaba, Alipay, UnionPay, ZEISS, Siemens, Samsung, LG, Midea, Li-Ning, NBA, the Palace Museum and more.

Can you handle overseas projects?

Yes — delivered at Singapore Changi Airport, Myeongdong Korea, Dubai Expo, Amsterdam, Berlin and the Milan Winter Olympics, with overseas teams in Singapore, San Francisco and Milan.

What does the brand need to provide?

Typically the event goal, venue conditions, brand assets and schedule; MLABART handles concept, technical implementation, fabrication and on-site build and commissioning.

Can installations be reused / tour?

Yes. Most are modular for touring reuse and multi-city deployment, and MLABART can provide touring adaptation and maintenance.

Do you handle on-site install and support?

Yes. MLABART provides on-site build, commissioning and technical support during the event to keep the installation running smoothly.

Exhibition hall vs. event installation — what’s the difference?

A hall is a long-term fixed multimedia exhibition (corporate/science museum) emphasizing stability and content depth; an event installation is short-term and high-spread, emphasizing buzz and shareability. MLABART does both.

How do we get started?

Send us your event type, venue, timing, goals and budget range (phone +86 18917292695) and MLABART will share an initial creative direction and quote.
